It’s time for our MeinMMO format “MMORPG news in two minutes.” We summarize the most important news around the best genre in the world. Look forward to Red Wizards in Neverwinter, many events, and a finished game that is coming in 2026.
The highlights of the week:
- The early access launch of BitCraft Online has been postponed from May 29, 2025, to June 20, 2025 (via bitcraftonline.com). The reason: they want to avoid Dune: Awakening and Elden Ring Nightreign. Meanwhile, the current beta version received a major update. You can find the patch notes on bitcraftonline.com.
- In the current financial report, publisher Kakao Games confirmed the release windows for the two MMORPG hopes ArcheAge Chronicles and Chrono Odyssey. Although the sequel to ArcheAge is said to be fully playable, the launch remains set for 2026. Chrono Odyssey is still scheduled for release in Q4 2025.
- In World of Warcraft, a strong boost is about to begin that helps especially the endgame fans. The item level is rising, and so is the power of the characters. Also cool: rare loot will be available in Azeroth much faster soon, thanks to an event.
- No matter how good WoW is, one thing is becoming increasingly clear. It’s annoying, and the latest patch makes it all too clear.
- The expansion “Red Harvest” was released for Neverwinter on May 7, 2025, featuring a new adventure zone inspired by the movie “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” a new trial, improved loot, the Red Wizards as enemies, and more. You can find the German patch notes on playneverwinter.com. The launch trailer is available on YouTube.
What else has happened? While the second phase of Alpha Two is still running in Ashes of Creation, there have been fresh servers and a supply of interested testers. Both in combination resulted in an impressive success, which according to studio head Steven Sharif, no other game in Unreal Engine 5 has been able to achieve.
One of the latest trailers for Ashes of Creation introduces the new rogue class:

- In South Korea, the closed beta for Dragon Sword is about to start, a new MMORPG that is likely to be interesting for Western players as well. With its anime graphics and gameplay, it strongly resembles Genshin Impact and Blue Protocol.
