Kingdom: The Blood is a new MMORPG currently in development. It is based on the Netflix series “Kingdom” and offers action-packed, bloody zombie gameplay. The developers show a first video.
In 2021, the first trailer was released announcing the MMORPG Kingdom: The Blood. Now, the developers Action Square show for the first time what the gameplay looks like. However, they label the video as “work in progress”.
The video initially shows a PvP fight where a samurai and an axe fighter are beating each other. Realistic-looking blood splatters with every hit. After that, the samurai encounters numerous zombies on a burning street, decapitating them with swift strikes.
Next, there are even more zombies and even more PvP. At the end of the trailer, you see snippets from the world where Kingdom: The Blood takes place.

Manual Combat, No Auto-Play
The combat is action-packed and there is no auto-play, neither in the PC nor in the mobile version. Manual combat is an important part of Kingdom: The Blood. You can find 7 more MMORPGs with action combat here.
The developers reveal themselves as fans of Souls-like games, such as Dark Souls and Elden Ring. They plan to integrate elements from these games into their MMORPG in the future.
What other content does the game offer?
- The zombies only come out at night when the temperatures are low.
- In combat, there are only three attacks: basic attack, special attack, and counter. However, you can combine the attacks with each other.
- The user interface is designed to be as simple as possible so that it is playable on mobile screens.
- The story currently consists of 10 chapters, each divided into 4 sections. This covers seasons 1 and 2 of the series.
- There are various characters, but they all carry a fixed weapon.
- Zombies react to the smell of blood. If a player stands too close to a dead enemy for too long after a fight, zombies might come running.
For whom is the game suitable? This MMORPG is certainly appealing to fans of the series Kingdom. But even without having seen the series, the game could become exciting. It generally targets zombie fans who enjoy action-packed battles and have no problem seeing blood on their screens.
Fans of MMORPGs who need some variety in the setting will also feel at home in Kingdom: The Blood. The MMO offers something completely different from the recurring fantasy settings.
When will Kingdom: The Blood be released? There is currently no time frame for the release of the game. Very likely not anymore in 2022.
What we know is that the developers plan to release the MMORPG globally at the same time.
