“Warlander” is a new Free2Play MMO set in a medieval environment on Steam, where players face each other in epic battles. The game will be available from this evening and you can play it for free.
What kind of game is Warlander? With Warlander, a MOBA comes that throws you as a warrior into a medieval setting. You fight in third-person perspective in massive online battles against enemy players, with up to 100 people participating at once.
The game was in closed beta on Steam in December 2022. Today, on January 24, 2023, the action MMO celebrates its full release on the platform.
Launch attacks or defend your fortress against enemy armies
What does the gameplay in Warlander look like? The game emphasizes action-packed PvP battles, where entire player armies face each other.
In Warlander, there are two different modes: You can climb the enemy fortress in the conquest mode with 2 teams to destroy its heart inside, or in the 5-army mode, you can crush your opponents and try to be the last force standing.
To claim victory, you must act tactically as a team to defend your own castle from opponents while successfully executing attacks.
You have three different classes available with various combat styles:
- Warrior: Melee fighter
- Mage: Ranged fighter
- Cleric: Healer
You can equip the classes with different loadouts and customize them to your playstyle. Powerful loadouts cannot be summoned directly at the match start – you have to earn bravery points to summon your stronger classes.
Over time, you will collect more gear and skills for the classes you play. Your arsenal and options for class building will improve match after match.
In addition, the armies have battle robots and siege weapons to conquer the enemy fortresses.
