At E3 2021, Bethesda announced the new cooperative shooter Redfall and showcased a trailer for it. This trailer evokes the style and humor of Borderlands, although vampires play an important role. It is being developed by Arkane Austin.

Who are the enemies? The trailer features various vampires that want to bite you. According to the press release, these are a scientific experiment that went horribly wrong and have now evolved. They are said to grow larger and learn new abilities.
The game mixes modern weapons with fantasy elements. Robots also seem to play a role.
When will the game be released? Redfall is set to launch in summer 2022 exclusively for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also be available in the Game Pass from day one.
New Shooter in the Style of Borderlands?
What else do we know about Redfall? In 2020, Bethesda secured the trademark name Redfall. Since then, many have speculated that this might be the name of The Elder Scrolls 6. However, it was only with the trailer that the new cooperative shooter was introduced.
Why does it remind us of Borderlands? Borderlands is a cooperative shooter with colorful graphics and humorous comedy. This humor is also apparent in the Redfall trailer.
After the big shootout, the characters discuss whether everything can return to normal. However, they agree that they actually do not want normality back. One of the protagonists adds that otherwise, she would also have to pay back her student loan.
Furthermore, the group is accompanied by a small robot. This immediately reminds us of the iconic Claptrap.
