Can the Celestial Nighthawk and the Foetracer be combined? YouTuber Violate tests these and other crazy theories in Destiny 2. We have the results for you!
The YouTuber Violate enjoys chasing myths in Destiny 2.
Interested players can put forward crazy theses in the comments under his videos, which Violate then proves or debunks as myths. Some really amusing insights have come out of it, some of which even provide advantages in the game.
Theory 1: The Tractor Cannon can push multiple enemies when a Shadowshot is in play
Enemies connected by a Hunter’s Shadowshot share the damage they take. So far, so good.
The Tractor Cannon not only deals damage but also pushes enemies back. If targets connected by the Shadowshot share damage, does the “pushing” also affect all connected targets?
The answer is Yes! For the test area, the Guardian chose the beginning of the Leviathan raid. It is filled with enemies neatly lined up guarding the entrance to the raid, who only move when you deal them damage.

The result is quite impressive. Although Violate only hits one enemy, all the other connected enemies are also pushed back. We have marked the corresponding spot in Violate’s video.
Even though it works – practical relevance is likely to be limited. Other power weapons deal significantly more damage. It is definitely funny.
Theory 2: The Orpheus Rig boots can also charge abilities of other subclasses
The exotic boots Orpheus Rig of the Hunter are a powerful exotic in the game. When you hit multiple enemies with a Shadowshot, the Hunter’s abilities can be instantly recharged.
This, however, is limited to the Nightstalker; the abilities of other Hunter subclasses cannot be influenced by it, right?

Oh yes! With a trick, it is possible to apply the effects of the exotic boots to the other Hunter focuses as well. For this, the Shadowshot must be fired and immediately switched to another subclass.
Those who have this timing down can charge the super of another focus with their Shadowshot. What sounds really good in theory is hard to implement in practice. You have to have switched classes before the arrow hits the enemies. Thus, the Shadowshot must fly for a certain time so that you can switch classes in the meantime.
Again, we have marked the corresponding spot in the video.
Theory 3: The teleport jump can “trick” the laser traps in the Pyramidion Strike
The laser traps in the Pyramidion Strike have already claimed several Guardians. Those who play as a Warlock should be able to outsmart them with the teleport jump. But does it really work?
This theory was also followed by Violate, testing whether the teleport jump can safely bypass activated laser traps. The clear result here is: Yes! With the teleport jump, you can even pass through activated laser beams.

You need to be careful when executing the jump. If you aim too high, you will land on the wall and ultimately get hit by the laser beams. We have marked the corresponding spot in Violate’s video.
Theory 4: The Celestial Nighthawk and the Foetracer can be combined for even more damage
The Celestial Nighthawk is an exotic helmet and is considered one of the best boss-killers in the game. With the Nighthawk, you only get to fire one shot with the Hunter’s Golden Gun, but it deals massive damage.

The Foetracer is also an exotic helmet that marks enemies and deals increased damage to targets with less than 30% health. Can the exotic properties of the two helmets be combined? Violate has also investigated this question, with surprising results.
Because the two helmets actually synergize! If you trigger your golden gun with the Nighthawk equipped but switch to the Foetracer before the shot, you will deal significantly more damage to targets with low health.

If the golden gun without an equipped Foetracer dealt just under 18,000 damage to a target, it was over 20,000 after the interim helmet switch! The trick works and could actually help to finish stubborn boss fights faster. You can find the corresponding spot in the video here!
Theory 5: There is no loot in the “The Inverted Spire” strike if the boss is killed before the last phase
The boss fight in the strike “The Inverted Spire” is divided into several phases. Depending on the remaining health bar, the boss changes arena. This happens a total of twice, thus the fight runs in three phases.
What happens if the boss is taken out so quickly in phase 1 that the second phase never occurs? Is there then no loot? After all, the corresponding loot chest only appears in the arena of the last phase.

Here, even the player Violate must concede. To take out the boss so quickly, Nightfall modifiers like Prism are necessary. Fortunately, the Guardian found a video where three Guardians complete the strike in record time. In fact, the final boss was down in just a few seconds.
And what happens then? The ground opens up, and the Guardians fall directly into the arena of phase 3 and land next to the loot chest! If the final boss is dispatched earlier than planned, the following phases are simply skipped – the loot chest still appears! How exactly this works can be seen in the following video:
