Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 starts its beta test on September 16 on PS4 and PS5. All participants have a chance at their first skins for the shooter. Additionally, there is new information about the beta preload.
When does the beta for Modern Warfare 2 start? The beta will run over two weekends, with the first phase only available for players on PlayStation. A pre-order grants you “Early Access”:

CoD MW2 Beta – Preload, Download, Rewards
What rewards are there? If you level up in the beta, you will earn rewards. This includes skins for operators and weapons, a talisman, and emblems.
In the first weekend, there are rewards from level 2 to level 15. In the second weekend, you will unlock the “Beta Rewards” from level 2 to level 30. This secures your first cosmetics for CoD MW2, if you haven’t bought any of the expensive versions or participated in the open beta.
The rewards from the first week are not PlayStation-exclusive.
When does the preload go live? The dates for the preload on PlayStation are now known. On Wednesday, September 14, at 7 PM, the preload will be available for all pre-order customers.

Search for the beta in the PlayStation Store and start the download. You are automatically registered if you purchased the game digitally. If you prefer CDs, you should have received a code for early access.
How large is the download? No official statements have been made yet. However, a data miner claims to have found the files in the PlayStation’s update system.
It is said that the beta is 15 to 30 GB in size, depending on the region. The version in Europe is expected to be the largest, so expect a download of around 30 GB.
What can you test in the beta? There is still little known about the content. The map “Grand Prix” is said to be in the game, and the revised Gunsmith makes its debut. The beta of the predecessor CoD: Vanguard offered 6 modes on 4 maps.
Otherwise, it is important to thoroughly test the new and revised mechanics. There are significant improvements in water gameplay, new movement mechanics, and completely revised vehicle gameplay.
