What are Artian weapons? Artian weapons are a special form of each weapon type that you can craft in high rank. With certain resources, you can customize the weapons to add elements or focus on attributes like affinity.
The ability to craft these weapons is unlocked after you defeat your first tempered monster (Lala Barina) in chapter 4 of the main quest. Then you will receive the first resource to start forging such weapons. We will explain exactly how that works.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Forging Artian Weapons
How do you forge Artian weapons? Once you have hunted your first tempered monster, you will unlock the ability to craft Artian weapons at the forge (Gemma). However, you will need specific materials that you receive by hunting tempered monsters.
Alternatively, you can also produce the required materials at the smelter in Suja.
Each weapon requires 3 materials, which vary from weapon to weapon. To craft a weapon, you always need 3 materials, which can be blade, device, disk, or tube.

Each material has an element type, an Artian bonus, and a rarity:
- If you use an element twice, the weapon will also have that element
- The affinity fusion and attack fusion influence how the respective values of the weapon will be
- The materials also have a rarity, which determines how rare your weapon will be

How do I upgrade Artian weapons? The special thing about Artian weapons is that you can upgrade them with certain materials. The ores required for this can be obtained either at the blacksmith festival in the settlement in the oil source basin or at any base camp from Nata.
You can upgrade each weapon up to level 5; for this you need to invest materials to reach a threshold. The following materials yield the respective points:
- Tristit gives 20 points
- Sprenklit gives 100 points
- Argezit gives 200 points
- Orikalzit gives 300 points
At the blacksmith, you can also dismantle Artian weapons. However, you will only receive the upgrade materials, not those required for crafting the weapons.
