For which side quest do I need the Megawatt Snail? The quest for which you need the Megawatt Snail is called “Dareel’s Special Research Report” and is part of a side quest series where you need to find and catch several endemic creatures for the research unit.
In this quest, you need to find a mutated variant of the Kilowatt Snail for Dareel at the Wind Plains base camp – the Megawatt Snail (engl. Gillopod). We will show you where you can find it and how to distinguish it from the Kilowatt Snail.

Where do I find and catch the Megawatt Snail? You can find the Megawatt Snail in Area 8 in Wyveria.

It hangs like its relative, the Kilowatt Snail, on the wall and does not initially look like a classic snail:
In the focus, you see the Megawatt Snail, next to its non-mutated counterparts. The Megawatt Snail is larger and bluer, so you should be able to recognize it well.
Once you have found it, simply equip your catch net, aim somewhat accurately, and the sought-after creature will land in your net and you can complete the quest with Dareel in the Wind Plains.
