The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) canceled the “Undaunted” event in November and has postponed it repeatedly. Now players will likely have to wait until next year. However, another event is set to become more lucrative.
This is the event in question: From November 14 to 18, the “Undaunted Celebration” (engl. “Undaunted Event”) was supposed to take place in The Elder Scrolls Online. Players would have tackled dungeons and received an additional chest at the end.
However, the fun didn’t last long and was canceled after just a few hours. This was due to problems with the activity finder that affected the game world outside.
The event is postponed to 2020
Since the cancellation in mid-November, players have been reassured. Originally, the event was set to return in December, but now ESO fans will have to wait until January.
On Twitter, the developers explained that the event could not be realized this year. They plan to announce an exact date for the event as soon as it is set.
However, a compensation is to be created. The “New Life Festival” will receive a small change. Players will then receive more event tickets during this event. The event is set to run from December 19 to January 2.
The community is pleased:
Now it feels like Christmas

However, for some players, this is only a small consolation. This compensation does not solve the fundamental problem.
An eternal problem with the activity finder
The biggest annoyance in ESO is probably the activity finder. This tool for group search does not work properly. And this is not just during the event, but has been the case for years. The developers promise to continue working on the dungeon finder, but players are frustrated.
They wish the developers would focus more on fixes rather than just creating new events:
Events are nice and all, but I would prefer to be able to play the game as planned!

A date for the “Undaunted Celebration” is not known. We are eager to see if the event actually comes in January. And above all, whether the problems with the activity finder can be resolved. The developers apologize for the inconveniences:
