Veterans of Lost Ark will receive two new raids in a new update, but something is bothering the fans about the trailer.
What kind of update is this? On November 19, 2025, alongside an update, the 4th Act of the Kazeros Raid: Fortress of Destruction was released. This is aimed at veterans of the MMORPG with an item level (IL) of 1700 and higher.
In the Fortress of the Abyss, two new raids for 8 players await, each with 2 bosses. The two bosses of the first raid were already shown in the trailer and are therefore known. You can see this trailer here on YouTube.
Powerful new boss enemies, but they are surprisingly silent
These are the new bosses:
- “Covetous Master Echidna” moves with her elegant movements like a dancer, but behind this lies great power. The trailer shows, among other things, how she summons a large snake-like dragon.
- The second boss is a guardian statue (in English “statue sentinel”) named Armoche. The knight wields a large halberd and protects itself with an equally powerful shield.
Whoever defeats Echidna and Armoche will reach the Lord of the Abyss himself, Kazeros, in a second raid (also for 8 players). With his black armor and jagged helmet, he resembles Sauron from the Lord of the Rings movies. Kazeros will assume two different forms: that of the Abyss Lord and that of the Archdemon.
What are the players saying about it? In the comments on the trailer, one topic is discussed in particular, but it doesn’t have anything directly to do with the shown bosses or the raids themselves. Instead, the silence provides cause for concern:
- “Where are the voices?”, asks for example Apfelsine78 under the trailer.
- “Nice voice acting… Oh, you’ve muted the Korean voices and haven’t done any English ones… cool”, writes dinmor2865.
- “Wait, no English speakers? Already bugged or was that intentional?”, writes ErronGhost.
At one point in the trailer, Echidna moves her mouth but you can’t hear what she says. This could have been a purely stylistic decision, but in light of the recent layoffs at Amazon, fans see another reason as more likely: they are simply saving on the voiceover.
After Amazon announced that it would put New World on the shelf, players also became concerned about other games. In the West, Amazon handles the distribution of Lost Ark. Amazon has also already responded to the concerns: After the end of New World, fans are worried about Throne and Liberty and Lost Ark – Now Amazon responds
