In addition to normal money, you can trade a large number of currencies in Lost Ark . They are not only needed for trading at the auction house but also for exchanging with NPCs.
As a reward, valuable items, upgrades for your endgame equipment, cosmetic items, or new cards for the mini-game of Lost Ark await you.

Currency that can be purchased
Royal Crystals
What are they good for? The crystals can be spent to buy exclusive items in the cash shop. This includes pets, mounts, or cosmetic outfits. On the other hand, they can also be exchanged for Blue Crystals or Gold.
Anyone who wants to change the appearance of their character and the name of their guild or buy a new character slot will also need this type of crystals.
How to obtain them? This type of crystals is the premium currency of Lost Ark and can only be purchased with real money in the Lost Ark cash shop.
Blue Crystals
What are they good for? This type of crystals is more versatile than the royal ones. You can use them to buy cosmetic items like mounts and pets in the cash shop. They also provide you with booster items that instantly complete certain activities.
The crystals are also necessary to expand your inventory or buy new slots for the skin presets of your characters.
How to obtain them? Blue Crystals are earned through various activities in the game or as daily login rewards. However, you can also purchase them in the shop for royal crystals or acquire them with Gold currency.
Gold Coins
What are they good for? Gold is the common currency for trade between players at the auction house; you pay with Gold there. Later in the endgame, it is needed when you want to reroll the stats of your gear.
Anyone who urgently needs Blue Crystals and does not want to spend real money in the shop can exchange them for Gold, keeping in mind that the exchange rate may change.
How to obtain them? You earn the coins from a variety of activities in the game. Quests, raids, relationships with NPCs, certain dungeons, etc. can all reward Gold. Alternatively, you can buy it with royal crystals.
Pheons
What are they good for? Pheons are a bit of a strange currency, as they basically serve only one purpose. When you want to buy armor or accessories at the auction house in Lost Ark, you have to pay a small amount of Pheons in addition to the usual Gold. Aside from that, it has no other use.
How to obtain them? You can buy Pheons in the Lost Ark cash shop for royal or blue crystals. Sometimes you can also earn them during events in the game.
Currency that must be earned
Silver Coins
What are they good for? Silver is the basic currency in Lost Ark, used for various things. You can use it to repair your armor at the blacksmith, buy items from NPCs, and when you use the triports to teleport, you also pay with silver.
Silver is also used in large quantities when you want to reroll the effects and stats on your armor or gemstones.
How to obtain them? A large part of the activities in the game will provide you with silver in one way or another. It drops in small amounts from enemies or treasure chests or is obtained as a reward from dailies and quests. Sometimes you also get platinum coins, which you can sell for a lot of silver to NPCs.
Stones of Providence
What are they good for? You need these cute stones in large quantities if you want to buy cosmetic items from NPCs. Also, when you want to improve your relationship with various NPCs, these stones will speed up your work, as they can be exchanged for gift boxes.
How to obtain them? You receive these stones as rewards from various quests given by NPCs. Killing certain rare monsters will also yield smaller amounts of Stones of Providence.
Pirate Coins
What are they good for? Pirate coins are required for all activities related to your ships. Whether upgrading, purchasing materials, or hiring new NPCs for your crew, you need these coins for everything.
How to obtain them? The fastest way to get these coins is through events at sea. Otherwise, you can find them from treasure chests that you fish out of the sea while sailing, by defeating ghost ships, or a variety of other activities on the sea.
There are also some subspecies of these coins that are particularly valuable and can be exchanged for a large quantity of the regular pirate coins.
Silmael Bloodstone
What are they good for? Also known as guild crystals, they are exchanged at the guild vendor for various rewards. These can be chests with silver, various boost potions, or upgrade materials for gear.
How to obtain them? Bloodstones can exclusively be obtained from guild activities. This includes daily logins in the guild, donations to the guild, research, or guild wars once they become available in Europe.
Coins of Courage
What are they good for? All items available in Lost Ark’s PvP are purchased with the Coins of Courage. This includes not only usual cosmetic items like titles, auras, or mounts but also more useful items.
For example, you can also exchange them for EXP potions, upgrade materials for your armor, or other important resources.
How to obtain them? These coins are earned from various PvP activities that Lost Ark has to offer. When you fight against other players in the arena in various modes, you receive the Coins of Courage as a reward at the end.
Both victory and defeat grant coins, but you naturally get more for a victory.
Shard Fragments
What are they good for? The fragments also belong to the simpler currencies of Lost Ark and serve only to purchase special chests. These chests contain secret maps that you need to enter specific dungeons.
The loot in the dungeons is valuable and ranges from gemstones to catalysts to books that improve your engravings.
How to obtain them? Rift fragments are received as rewards for completing chaos portals. These are special events in the open world that occur at certain times and only allow a limited number of players.
Shards of Harmony, Life, and Honor
What are they good for? These three are endgame currencies of high level. You need them to improve your equipment. You add them to an armor item like EXP, and once the display reaches 100%, the item can receive an upgrade. The shards are also required for that.
The different types of shards are used for different tiers of equipment. T3, for example, requires the yellow shards.
Another peculiarity of these shards is that, unlike all previous currencies, they are not account-wide. They are bound to your characters and must be earned by the respective character.
How to obtain them? The shards are given as rewards for completing chaos dungeons, for daily quests, for dismantling high-level gear, and from many other endgame activities.
