In League of Legends, movement is key with the most popular champions. Since the Netflix series “Arcane” has become so successful, the pick rates of champions like Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, or Jayce are rising. Unfortunately, the win rates of three of these champions are dropping when so many players may not be skilled enough. Especially Jayce seems to be too tricky.
This is the situation:
- There is a new Netflix series about LoL, Arcane, focusing on the two mismatched sisters Jinx and Vi. The series is a huge hit and has received high praise from critics. Arcane launched on November 6 with three episodes, Act 2 premiered on November 13.
- Some of the characters from the series can be played in LoL. There are even free Arcane skins released for Jayce, Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx, with more to follow.
- The popularity of the series is causing the champions from Arcane to be played more frequently in LoL – but not always successfully.
Many can handle Jinx
How does Arcane affect Jinx? Jinx is an ADC in LoL who was already quite popular.
With the launch of the Netflix series, her popularity has skyrocketed:
- On November 5, Jinx had a pick rate of 11.5% – On November 17, it rose to 18.6% – a peak.
- Her win rate dropped from 50.5% to 50.2% – not much has changed there. Apparently, a relatively large number of players can handle Jinx fairly well.
Many have problems with Jayce
How does Arcane affect Jayce?: Jayce is a relatively complex champion in LoL. He is played in the top lane.
- On November 5, Jayce had a pick rate of 3.6% – he was played by very few. On November 9, his pick rate more than tripled to 11.9%. That was his peak.
- His win rate on November 5 was 45.9% – by November 9, it had dropped to 42.8%. His already low value has decreased even further.

How does Arcane affect Vi? The jungler Vi benefits greatly from Arcane, but apparently people can handle her…
- On November 5, she had a pick rate of 5.9% – on November 16, the pick rate increased to 18.2%.
- The win rate fell from 53.8% to 52.3%
Caitlyn is played much more often, and even wins
How does Arcane affect Caitlyn?
ADC Caitlyn has skyrocketed in popularity. She is already a popular champ:
- Her pick rate increased from 15% on November 5 to 26.1% on November 17
- Her win rate even rose from 49.9% to 50.1%
