If a champion in League of Legends performs poorly for a certain amount of time and remains unpopular, they are often adjusted or changed to bring them back into the Rift. However, the champion Corki has been one of the worst and least popular champions in the game since 2022, but Riot changes nothing. A player on Reddit has now suggested an interesting proposal.
Corki has not been doing well for a long time. Currently, according to op.gg, he has a win rate of 47.23% and a pick rate of 0.64%. Both are very low. He is currently the least popular champion after Skarner, who will soon receive a rework, and Corki would likely have the lowest pick rate.
His almost disastrous win rate does not help either, preventing players from wanting to try him. The interesting thing is that he has not managed to achieve a positive win rate above 50% since April 2022.
Due to his lack of crowd control, he is currently not relevant in the mid lane meta. Although his damage potential is high, champions like Xerath, Sylas, or Kassadin are more reliable in that area.
On Reddit, a user has suggested a way to save Corki. They propose moving him to a different lane.
Into the Jungle
In his Reddit post, the user Ok-Connection suggests that Corki should simply be adjusted for the jungle. He compares a potential Corki jungle update to champions like Brand or Zyra, who are also played there with slight adjustments to their damage against jungle minions.
Although Corki would have no CC and would thus be at a disadvantage when ganking, he could focus on farming and clearing the jungle like a Karthus. In team fights for objectives like the dragon, he could then showcase his strong damage potential.
The user believes that his package would also be interesting for ganking. As a player, you can hear when Corki collects his passive, so you would have to be more cautious, since Corki can then appear from anywhere.
In the professional scene, Ok-Connection sees the mid lane less as a problem since scaling mage junglers are rarely played. There, the focus is more on tanks.
He would also be welcome in another lane
The community has also proposed other ideas for changing him under the post. This also involves other lanes.
- futurev5239:
What if we bring him back to the bot lane instead?
- FuujinSama:
Honestly, just remove the silly rework and bring back his non-skillshot Q, True Damage passive Corki. The package and the weird scaling were a mistake.
- Chinese_Squidward:
The solution for Corki is to give him a passive ability that converts all armor penetration from items he buys into magic penetration.
Before his rework and his time as a mid laner, Corki was similar to Graves as an ADC. Many players seem to want that time back. Considering how strong Ziggs, Seraphine, and Swain are in the bot lane, Corki could also work with adjustments.
What is planned for Corki is currently unknown, so players can only speculate. Another inconspicuous champion seems to be strong again on the top lane:
