Why has it not been easy to get into the game so far? However, Apex Legends has a very fast pace and even the excellent gunplay relies on the fact that you are well acquainted with the various weapons.

What kind of mode is this? With the start of Season 12, there is a new game mode called Control. This is basically the Domination mode known from CoD and similar games. Meanwhile, you receive unlimited respawns, can choose your characters anew each time, and weapons are set in a starting loadout from the beginning of the game.
This mode is ideally suited to calmly familiarize yourself with the game and gunplay as well as the various characters. Especially the respawns and fixed loadouts allow for a lot of personal experience and experimentation.
Also cool for newcomers: In the first weeks after the start of Season 12, Apex Legends is giving away three characters.
What’s the deal with the new meta? If you eventually end up in the battle royale or arena mode, you will encounter experienced players there; however, they will not be superior in every aspect at the start of Season 12. The developers have changed much of the established meta gameplay with the new legend ‘Mad Maggie’ and a few buffs and nerfs.
This means Maggie can counter a previously particularly effective tactic, and one of the best weapons is now significantly rarer in the game. This means that even the pros will have to reacquaint themselves with the game, and their advantage won’t be as great.
