The German streamer Metashi 12 is planning a big event on Twitch together with PapaPlatte and HandOfBlood. The project is called “SauerCrowd” and will be a guild in WoW Classic Hardcore, modeled after OnlyFangs. A prominent guest, who every German WoW veteran will recognize, will join.
Who is the Bard?
- Jan Hegenberg is known for his songs about gaming, probably the biggest German musician for this niche.
- With songs like “Des Gamers Schlaflied”, he speaks to the souls of many gamers; “Die Horde Rennt” has filled German players with deep nostalgia for the launch of WoW Classic.
- Hegenberg still performs live and has his own channel on Twitch, where he makes music and occasionally plays games. He is now part of the WoW project SauerCrowd.
This was the event: On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM, the three heads of the project convened an event. Goal: to vote on whether the guild should be founded on the Horde or Alliance side. Perhaps the most important decision for all WoW players.
To convince the others, members were allowed to hold short speeches. For the opening, HandOfBlood, as the moderator, invited Jan Hegenberg onto a literal stage. Hundreds of players gathered in the Cathedral of Stormwind to witness the event – and Hegenberg.
To set the mood, Hegenberg brought two of his biggest hits: “Die Horde Rennt” and “Die Allianz schlägt zurück,” so that newcomers could also get a bit of the “feeling” for the factions. In his stream, the mini-concert can be seen from minute 37:45 on Twitch.
Both songs apparently have a strong impact on veterans, as HandOfBlood simultaneously shows in his stream: he dances to the songs, sings along, and even wields Frostgram, the famous sword of Arthas (as a replica – and not his genuine sword, deemed junk by Horst Lichter):
“Long time since I felt such a feeling”
The entire assembly apparently made an impression even on Jan Hegenberg, who is used to shows and audiences. The entire Cathedral of Stormwind was packed on several layers of the server with fans, streamers, and viewers.
However, everything went smoothly without chaos; there were proper aisles: people stood lined up on the left and right of the path to leave the middle clear for free passage and visibility, allowing the speakers – and Hegenberg – to present at the altar of the cathedral. Hegenberg himself says:
I am completely overwhelmed. How awesome is this? […] This is just too crazy, I don’t even know what to say. I just walked through the city. It has been a long time since I felt such a feeling while walking through WoW.
Following the small concert, various speeches were read to convince the SauerCrowd members to choose Horde or Alliance. With a clear lead (55 to 76 votes), the Alliance has won the race.
Starting from December 27, SauerCrowd as a project will commence on Twitch. For the guild, there is a specially designed addon and even a dedicated category on the streaming platform, as HandOfBlood explains.
The idea behind SauerCrowd is oriented towards OnlyFangs, a streamer guild that has been active since the release of WoW Classic and continues to organize massive events and community interactions. OnlyFans has even weighed in: German streamers are planning a WoW event on Twitch and received a message from their American counterpart
