Last Epoch is a change for many from the ARPG king Diablo, but this one also has problems to contend with. A major issue is gold exploits, with which players can duplicate gold. The developers have now announced that they will ban players for that.
What exploits are being discussed? Last weekend, a new exploit was discovered that allows players to duplicate gold. The game already had a problem with this in April. To counteract the problem, they intend to ban players who use it.
In a current announcement, they discuss the problem. They talk about how important the player economy is to developing a fantastic game. They also thank the community for quickly forwarding this to the developers. Now, the developers are taking a strong stance against it.

How are the developers addressing the problem? To tackle the issue, they have disabled trading between players, as that was the exploit method. This is set to last until the problem is resolved.
Additionally, users of the exploit are also being punished. They speak of dealing with bans for exploits. They have likely already started this and noticed positive effects in the bazaar, as prices are said to have stabilized again.
Users in the forum seem to be pleased with the announcement, although they criticize the late timing and that this is not the first time the problem has arisen.
