Roadmap: What’s planned next?
Similar to its predecessor, part 2 will feature additional (some free, some paid) DLCs. Those who purchase the Gold or Collector’s edition of KCD2 will automatically receive the expansion pass and access to all planned content for the year.
This is what the roadmap for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 looks like:
- Spring 2025: Free updates such as a hardcore mode, horse racing, and a barber feature (at the barber, you can adjust Heinrich’s appearance)
- Summer 2025: Encounters with death – In this adventure, Heinrich helps a mysterious artist with his dark past. In the lands, you will face dangerous encounters and untangle a web of intrigue.
- Autumn 2025: The heritage of the blacksmith – Here, Heinrich confronts his roots and explores the legacy of his adoptive father Martin. While restoring the once-famous smithy and proving his skill in the art of blacksmithing, you uncover a forgotten story from the past.
- Winter 2025: Mysteria Ecclesia – In the Sedletz monastery, there are many intrigues. Heinrich is assigned a covert mission and must uncover hidden truths and navigate through a labyrinth of conflicting interests.
In addition to these highlights, there will be regular free adjustments and “Quality of Life” updates to enhance the gaming experience.
What do I need to know about Kingdom Come? The first role-playing game from Warhorse Studios was released on February 13, 2018, and despite some technical issues, it became a surprise success. On Steam the role-playing game holds an 83% positive review score.
Like the first part, the sequel will also revolve around Heinrich, the son of a blacksmith. Both games offer open-world adventures from a first-person perspective, focusing heavily on storytelling, an authentic simulation of the game world, and the role-playing experience.
The KCD series takes an old-school approach, giving you relatively little guidance while granting many freedoms. You can find out more here: All about the release, price, editions, system requirements, preload, roadmap, and scope of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
