At the beginning of December 2024, a new team shooter featuring Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and others, Marvel Rivals, was released. Now the game has achieved an impressive milestone on Steam. Meanwhile, the community is celebrating the high quality of the Overwatch competitor.
What milestone is this? Via X, the team at NetEase announced that they welcomed over 20 million players in the first two weeks. Despite the free-to-play payment model, this is an impressive number.
While the all-time high of 480,990 concurrent players, which was recorded ten days ago (via steamdb.info), Marvel Rivals currently sees nearly 400,000 concurrent active players during peak times. This is usually enough for the top 5 on Steam (currently – 08:51 AM, December 19, 2024 – ranked 4 behind Dota 2, PUBG, and Counter-Strike 2).
