Riot Games, the developer and publisher of Valorant, provided a guide on its website to obtain a rare item in the game. Players can only earn the Riot Gun Buddy through positive behavior.
Currently, the “Riot Gun Buddy” or “Fist Bump Gun Buddy” is a rare item available in Valorant. However, the prerequisite for the item is that you are nice people and a Riot employee is aware of it.
How do I get the Riot Gun Buddy? The developers from Riot explained in a post what you need to do for the item: “Show good sportsmanship during a game while a Riot employee is present.”
Furthermore, it is stated that the player should behave positively and be a motivating force within the Valorant team.
It was additionally emphasized that players should always be nice to each other. Now they simply have the chance to receive a reward for that.

Is the Riot Gun Buddy item limited? Each Rioter has only a limited number of Fist Bumps that they can distribute to players.
What should I not do? Since the number of Fist Bumps is limited, the Rioters carefully consider to whom they give them out.
According to Riot Games, it is therefore not advisable to ask directly for the item. That would rather reduce the chance of getting a Riot Gun Buddy.
Players should also refrain from messaging employees on social networks like Twitter or Instagram to ask for the item. Because: “The fist bump is a reward for good sportsmanship, not a reward for following Rioters on Twitter.”
Can I buy the Riot Gun Buddy? A clear no. If someone wants money for the item but pretends to be a Riot employee, that is fraud. Riot Games does not charge for the item.
Fake Riot employees who want money should be reported by players in the game.
