Recently, there is a UFO to be found in GTA Online. However, it only appears at a specific location and at certain times. MeinMMO summarizes what this is all about and where you can find it.
What is this event? This is the so-called sightseeing event, where a UFO appears every day from October 15 to October 21.
The first UFO has already been sighted and only appears at certain times of the day in a specific place. No one currently knows exactly what this event might entail, which leaves players guessing.

Location of the UFO in GTA Online
You find the UFO at this location: The UFO spawns in the north of the GTA Online map, on a peninsula of Paleto Bay.
It remains to be seen if the UFO will change its location in the coming days. So far, it has always appeared in the same place for all players.
But don’t fly too close to the UFO. As soon as you fly too close to the object with a plane, you will crash. Apparently, the UFO is protected by some kind of force field.
You can only find it between 10 PM and 3 AM in-game time. Thus, the UFO is only found in the dark.
Preparation for Halloween?
What is it all about? Many players are currently pondering this. So far, there is no concrete indication of what this is about.
The UFO event could simply be a hint towards GTA: San Andreas. After all, Rockstar has already announced several special events in honor of the releases of the remakes of GTA: San Andreas, Vice City and GTA III.
This is also one of the first clues given by players (via reddit). Other players suspect that the event might be some sort of preparation for the announced Halloween event. (via reddit)
What is known so far about the Halloween event? Basically nothing at all. Traditionally, there are usually discounts and bonuses for the players during Halloween. Sometimes there are also special, cool vehicles.
Perhaps Rockstar is planning something bigger this year; at least the UFO event might indicate that. Ultimately, there is nothing to do but wait to see what happens in the coming week.
