In the MMORPG New World, the developers announced a new funny item that could lead to hilarious situations.
What kind of item is this? Gamers, and especially MMORPG players, have their own manners, words, and customs. While ordinary people might think of the word “kick” as referring to the local soccer field, in MMORPGs, it often means being kicked out of a group or interrupting abilities during boss fights, depending on the context.
In New World, the developers have now dedicated an item to this term. A shield, which you can also see on the cover image. The shield says “Kick me”, which is presumably directed at enemies and is meant to provoke them into attacking your tank. However, anyone who “misunderstands” this could end up kicking one or more tanks out of the group.

What do the developers hope for? The shield with the inscription “Kick me” is meant to be deliberately misunderstood and lead to funny situations in groups. So anyone who gets kicked from their dungeon group because of the shield can thank the developers, who apparently intend this. The shield is one of the prank items that will be introduced this year on April 1, 2025.
Alongside the risky shield, between the prank day and April 14, 2025, you can secure the “Eternal Tyrant” package, allowing you to reign over your enemies with an iron fist and armor.
Additionally, there will be a mount in the form of the “Feral Rage” wolf, which is meant to bring you as a fearsome loyal companion to your battles.
