In RailGods of Hysteria on Steam, you wander through a world ravaged by unspeakable horrors. Fortunately, you have the right means of transport: a living locomotive that is not powered by – let’s say “traditional” – fuels.
What kind of game is this? RailGods of Hysteria is a survival game with an isometric camera, so you look down at your character from a slightly angled view. In it, you fight for survival alone or with up to three other players against eerie creatures.
The release of the game is scheduled for 2025. However, from December 5 to December 11, there will be a playtest for which you can register on Steam. In the trailer, the developers show the first gameplay from their game:

What is the game about? The developers at Troglobytes Games were strongly inspired by the horror literature of H. P. Lovecraft for the setting. The “Great Old Ones” have ravaged the world and turned reality into a single nightmare.
You will only survive this nightmare with the help of a RailGod – a living (if that is what you can call it) locomotive. It will be your fortress on rails. However, it is not fueled by coal but – as expected – by the flesh of your enemies.
The individual cars of your RailGod can be highly customized. The train is not only a fortress on rails but also your home. Additionally, the RailGod grants you special powers if you prove to be a good servant.
Your journeys should be well thought out, as the madness of the world affects your mental state. The train is your refuge, where you are protected from this madness and can regenerate. The many tentacles protruding from it won’t bother you.
