At the moment, all signs point to a release of GTA 6 on November 19, 2026. An actor from GTA 5, however, would reportedly celebrate another delay. For him, the game cannot come soon enough.
What exactly does the actor mean? In an interview with Eldorado, Jay Klaitz talks about GTA 6. He voiced the heist planner and intel scout Lester Crest in GTA 5. In the conversation, Klaitz repeatedly praises GTA producer Rod Edge and says he is so damn cool.
When it comes to delays, the voice actor sees almost exclusively the positive: The longer Rockstar takes to make GTA 6, and gives people like Rod the time they need, the cooler it will be. It could be another month, or another five months, or six months, or whatever. It will be cool.
What exactly Klaitz means by this statement, he does not define himself. However, he likely means that any kind of delay means more development time, which can fundamentally be good for the quality of the game.
More delays for GTA 6? Probably not
Could GTA 6 be delayed again? Theoretically, further delays, even over several months, are still possible. With the release in November drawing closer, one might think that we should start seeing more of the game itself. For example, through marketing campaigns and such.
The currently apparent lack of a larger-scale marketing campaign or even a third trailer does not necessarily mean anything at the moment. Take-Two, the company behind Rockstar Games, recently announced that the release date is set and that marketing will really kick off later in the summer of 2026 (via IGN). Additionally, the delays of GTA 6 have apparently cost Rockstar a lot of money.
What about the price of GTA 6? How much the game will ultimately cost at release to cover the costs that may arise from delays is still up in the air. In the interview, Jay Klaitz was actually asked whether he would pay the currently speculated 100 dollars for the game.
He says, however, that he is generally happy if he can sit down and play even once a week. But: The reality is that I don’t have enough time for a game that justifies spending 100 dollars on it.
What the price will be and whether GTA 6 will ultimately be delayed again is currently uncertain and pure speculation. However, there have been rumors circulating in the community for a while regarding the release. Recently, among others, a leaker claimed to know when GTA 6 Online will be released.
