The maps of Hytale are vast. It is even more convenient that you can save valuable time using portals. We explain how to do it here.
How do you get teleporters? In order to use portals or teleporters, you must upgrade your Arcanist’s Workbench to level 2. Then you can craft teleporters and freely place them on the map wherever you need them.
What do I need for teleporters? To craft teleporters at the workbench in pairs, you need the following resources:
- 9 x Azure Log: You can find it in blue forests
- 2 x Azure Kelp: You can find it in the water in blue areas
- 10 x Any Stone: Any type of stone you can find
Luckily, you will directly receive 2 teleporters from crafting, which you can link together.
How to use teleporters? You can freely place the teleporters like most items in the world. When you interact with a placed portal, you can assign it a name and specify where its counterpart should take you. You can change your target whenever you want, as soon as you have placed new teleporters.
How many teleporters can be crafted? Currently, you can craft up to 12 teleporters, but you must reach certain milestones to increase your limit. At the beginning, you can only craft 6 teleporters.
How to increase your limit will be explained in the next section.
How to increase the limit for the maximum number of teleporters
To be able to craft more than 6 teleporters, you need to first increase the limit. To do this, you need to collect “Memories.” In order to do that, you should follow these steps:
- Go to the Forgotten Temple, you can recognize it on the map by a white circle
- Interact with the monument in the center to unlock the Memories feature
- Then look for various creatures and animals in the world and observe them for a while
- If you discover a blue marker, you have collected the corresponding Memory and should find it in your inventory
- Collect up to 48 Memories and bring them back to the monument in the Forgotten Temple
In total, you can currently collect 240 Memories and earn various rewards. Upon reaching corresponding milestones, you will increase your teleporter limit as follows:
- 25 Memories: + 1 Teleporter
- 50 Memories: + 1 Teleporter
- 100 Memories: + 2 Teleporters
- 200 Memories: + 2 Teleporters
