First character at power level 600? Many may now wonder how to level their second and third class. In Destiny 1, players could donate their excess gear to other classes, which could use it to infuse into their own armor (so-called cross-infusing).

This is how you can equip the best items on your second Guardian: Before you can make really big jumps, some preparations are necessary:

Unless you have already done so, create a new character of the class you want to level
Complete the base campaign (the expansions Curse of Osiris and Warmind are optional)
Complete the Forsaken expansion
Reach maximum level 50 with the second character

Which equipment you use during this procedure is up to you. Do not worry about infusing your gear until level 50; this gear is typically obsolete within a few minutes.

Pro Tip: Use your character with power level 600 to pull the white submachine gun Sorge MG2 from your collection. This submachine gun has a power level of 580, but has no level requirements!

However, use this weapon on your second character only to quickly eliminate bosses. If you constantly carry the SMG, you will receive new gear, but it will be well above your level.

Once you have reached maximum level 50 and completed all relevant quest steps, it’s time to get serious.

So You Achieve Power Level 590+

Grab your main character and visit Xûr! At maximum level of 600, you can purchase the exotic armor piece that your second character should wear from the noodle-face. This armor piece will drop 20 power levels below your level, so at 580. Then follow these steps:

Transfer one weapon for each slot at level 600 as well as the exotic armor piece to your new character
Go with the new character to the collection under Armor > Leveling
Buy blue armor for the lowest slot until you no longer have level progression. Since the armors scale with your level, you will always receive armors with a higher level up to a certain point

You should now be at power level 577 and can theoretically dive into the Last Wish raid immediately. However, before doing so, you should complete milestones to obtain powerful gear that is not only legendary but also advances your level.

If you have completed this and finished the raid at least once, you should already be at power level 590. Those who played the campaign with friends probably only needed 15-20 hours for the whole process.
