You play as a vampire in V Rising who has been stripped of his power and wants to regain old strength and rebuild his rule over the realm. To do this, you not only go on the hunt for blood but mainly expand your power base: your own vampire castle.
V Rising delivers an isometric perspective with a combat system known more from MOBAs, but at its heart, it is a survival game. You gather resources, build your castle, and craft new equipment.
Unlike most survival games, however, you are safer at night, as the sun harms you as a vampire. At night, you are on the hunt for blood – or servants, as you can also charm and catch the people in the region.
The major highlights of V Rising are the boss battles and minibosses (“V Bloods”), which provide you with new abilities, recipes, and spells. The sophisticated combat system allows you to play different builds and self-created classes.
