To keep up with the trend of strong action RPGs in the AA sector, we also present you Lies of P. The rather unremarkable title fits into the now numerous soulslikes but comes with a special twist.
You play as Pinocchio in Lies of P, even though that’s never explicitly mentioned. Accordingly, lies are an important part of the game: depending on how often you tell the truth, you become more human or remain a puppet. This leads to different endings and outcomes.
Lies of P does not rely on the grotesque, sometimes disgusting monsters you would otherwise know from souls games. Instead, your enemies are puppets that sometimes appear eerily creepy due to their “Uncanny Valley” nature.
Gameplay-wise, Lies of P is heavily oriented towards other soulslikes but is especially known for its brutally difficult but rewarding parry system. For fans of hard games, Lies of P is an inviting challenge, but it may well happen that you have to swap the controller for weights out of anger and frustration.
