Heavy Rain
Heavy Rain is a highly narrative-driven game that resembles an interactive movie. In it, the so-called “Origami Killer” wreaks havoc in an American city. His victims are young boys, who are found dead every fall.
Ethan Mars is a father whose son Shaun also goes missing. To find him, Ethan must complete several tasks set by the killer. Meanwhile, both the FBI and a private detective named Scott Shelby are investigating the case.
At the finale, it is revealed that Shelby himself is the murderer. He investigated the matter himself to cover his own tracks and divert attention from himself. The game offers different ways to find this out. Particularly nasty is that along the way, various characters can die. Thus it is all the more bitter that the murderer is someone we relied on for help.
