If you are more interested in the ridiculous, absurd aspect of Warhammer, Blood Bowl is your game. The game is… well, a game, or more precisely: a sport held in Warhammer.
Teams of all races compete against each other in a kind of football with much more open rules. Body contact with spike studs, losing a leg or eating an opponent is not uncommon in Blood Bowl.
As Blood Bowl is essentially a tabletop that has been adapted into video games, you play in turns with dice rolls, abilities, and a roster of units to manage, similar to a football manager. Your players have stats like strength, agility, and so on. The aim of the game, besides the survival of your players, is to score as many touchdowns as possible.
There are now 3 iterations of Blood Bowl, with the latest installment, Blood Bowl 3 from 2023, receiving the worst reviews from players. For entry, Blood Bowl 2 or, if you don’t mind the age, also the original Blood Bowl from 2010 is probably the best choice.
