The superheroes from the anime My Hero Academia have individual talents, also known as quirks. A little girl has now discovered one of the characters and found a big commonality with him.
What do the girl and the character have in common? In a store, a little girl discovers a plush toy from the anime My Hero Academia. The stuffed toy of the character Shoto Todoroki particularly appeals to her, as he has a mark on his face just like the girl.
The little one, who can be seen in the TikTok video of her mother lastflashqueen, has had a rather large birthmark over the right side of her face since birth. That’s why she is happy that there is someone else who shares this external characteristic with her.
However, what one should better not tell the little girl: Shoto’s facial mark was not present at birth. It is a burn scar that his own mother inflicted on him when she poured hot water on his face.
But either way, it is sweet how the little girl is happy to have finally found someone who is “like she is”.

Mangaka and voice actors take notice of the girl
What do the mangaka and the voice actor have to do with it? Yuki Kaji, the Japanese voice actor of Shoto, responds on X to the video of the little girl. He writes that Kohei Horikoshi, the mangaka of My Hero Academia, showed him the video of the girl.
He writes from the character’s perspective and says that he has had a difficult past. However, this past still has the potential to save someone. There is a type of hero that can only be Shoto.
With this, he means that Shoto’s sad story can make life easier for others and cheer them up. With the smiling emoji at the end of his message, he shows how happy he is for the girl.
Why is Shoto’s past so sad? Shoto was only given the burn scar because his mother was angry with his father Enji. Shoto was born with two hair colors that split in two halves. One half resembles his father, the other his mother.
However, since the father was so intent on training Shoto to be the strongest hero, he and his mother often argued. This led to violent confrontations with the mother, who suffered mental damage because of it.
This led her to hate Enji so much that she burned Shoto’s side. The boy had to go through a lot in his past, but it is precisely his scar that can bring the little girl much joy.
Last year, Horikoshi finished the story surrounding My Hero Academia. Eiichiro Oda, the mangaka of One Piece, revealed that Horikoshi can finally play his favorite video game in his free time: The mangaka of My Hero Academia has published his last chapter – The author of One Piece says he can finally play his favorite video game
