Are any old actors returning?
For most roles, it is out of the question to cast old actors. The release of the first film was already 23 years ago. The actors are therefore now too old for their original roles, or unfortunately already deceased.
Daniel Radcliffe himself, who originally played Harry Potter, made it clear, that he will not be participating in the new series, and he is quite glad about it.
One exception is actor Warwick Davis. In the “Harry Potter” films, he portrayed Professor Filius Flitwick, the head of house of Ravenclaw. He will reprise this role in the series, as announced in early September 2025.

What is the filming location of the new series?
Just like the “Harry Potter” films, a large part of the new series is planned to be filmed at the “Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden” in London. Therefore, parts of the known sets may be reused.
In May 2025, it was also announced that filming took place in France, near the lighthouse “Tévennec”. This is likely for the scenes on the deserted island where Harry ultimately learns about his magical abilities.
Many “Harry Potter” fans remain skeptical. Can the high expectations ever be met? Is a reboot really necessary, despite the generally successful film adaptations?
