Guild Wars 2 sends us to the third season of the Living Story regularly to old places from the first Guild Wars. Since the legendary Fire Ring is a theme in the current episode, a leaked screenshot from the alpha test of the new episode could hint at the Crystal Desert as a new setting.
For many fans and players of Guild Wars, the locations from the first part are still a reason to sink into pleasant nostalgia. Therefore, many were quite pleased when in Episode two of Season three, the Fire Ring, the setting of the finale of the original game, came into play as a new location.
Off to the Crystal Desert!
The Fire Ring could be just the beginning of a long journey to past locations, as a leaked image from the alpha test of the upcoming episode recently appeared on Reddit. It shows a colorful oasis in the desert, clearly identified by some players as the “Oasis of Amnoon”. Veterans might remember the oasis from the first Guild Wars, where our heroes struggle through the surrounding Crystal Desert to uncover the secret of divinity.
Anyone who has been paying attention to the Living Story should still remember that these secrets are still very current and even the legendary dragon Glint, whose egg plays an important role, had its refuge in this desert. Whether the image actually shows the oasis in the Crystal Desert or whether Episode three of the story leads us somewhere else has not yet been confirmed.
