The event started on November 16, 2020, and runs until November 30, 2020. A special event merchant is even available until December 6, 2020.

There are several tasks and events that you need to complete during the event. For the completed tasks, you will receive an event currency that you can spend on rewards.
Throughout the event, you will collect various shards that you can exchange for rewards. The highlight of the event is the character Fischl, who you can unlock for free at the end of the event quests. We will tell you how to unlock her in our article.
With “Salvaging the Meteorite Debris” and “Falling Star” you can play two special challenges. For both, you need 20 or 40 original resin to claim your rewards.

Genshin Impact: How to unlock Fischl
Who is Fischl? Fischl is a bow user with a rarity of four stars. The chance to pull a 4-star character in a wish is 5.1%, which is very low.
Fischl is one of the best characters in Genshin Impact. She is a strong damage dealer and a good support. In battle, she can summon a raven that deals Electro damage just like Fischl. The raven also remains summoned for several seconds, even when you switch to another character.

Genshin Impact: How to Start the “Distant Stars” Event
How to start the first quest: You can already complete the quest “Star of Destiny.” For this, you must fulfill a multi-part quest. You receive the quest through the event menu and then have to talk to Katheryne from the Adventurers’ Guild in Mondstadt.
Next, you need to visit three different regions of the game world and collect 7 meteorite shards in each. However, these are not always easy to find, and you need to gather them in these three areas.
In each area, there are more than 7 shards; you do not have to collect them all to complete the quest. Every collected shard also counts as event currency “Essence of the Waning Stars.”
You can repeat the gathering the following day. However, it will be three different areas than the previous day. In these areas, you will find the shards:
Day 1:
- Starfall Valley (east of Mondstadt)
- Bishui Plain (north of Liyue)
- Guyun Towers in the Sea of Clouds (east of Liyue)
Day 2:
- Whistling Slope (southeast of Mondstadt)
- Qiongji Estuary (northeast of Liyue)
- Minlin (northwest of Liyue)
How the “Meteorite Debris Recovery” Challenge Works
When does the challenge begin? According to the official website, the “Meteorite Debris Recovery” challenge started on November 18, 2020.
To unlock the challenge, you must first complete the quest “Endless Crisis.” During this quest, you will also learn how the challenge works. Afterwards, the locations of the meteorites will appear on your map and you can select the challenges individually.
How does the event work? It is a challenge where you must defeat a lot of enemies within a certain time. Beforehand, you can choose one of three different difficulty levels, which in turn offers you different rewards.
Things to keep in mind: While you are destroying the enemies, you must stay in the blue influence area of the meteorite debris. If you leave the area, it turns red, and your progress decreases quickly!
Each meteorite also carries an element that strengthens the enemies. If you use the correct counter-element, it can be to your advantage. How elements and combos work in Genshin Impact will be explained elsewhere.
These rewards are available: If you manage to defeat all enemies within the limit, you can collect your rewards. Similar to dungeons or elite bosses, you need 20 points of “original resin” to recover the debris. As a reward, you will receive
- the event currency “Fading Stars Power” and
- friendship EXP for your characters.
How the “Falling Star” Challenge Works
When does the challenge start? On November 23, 2020, the third installment of the event and the second challenge “Falling Star” was activated.
Once you have completed the quest “Secret of the Sky, Revealed in Water,” you can unlock the “Falling Star” challenge to collect the event currency “Essence of the Fading Stars” here.
How does the event work? The event works similarly to the previous co-op event in Genshin Impact. You can play this challenge both solo and in multiplayer mode.
You need to defeat monsters within a given time, which drop energy just like in the last co-op event, called “heavenly energy” here. You must then deliver this energy at a designated location. However, if you are hit by an enemy, you will lose all your energy. Once you have completed a wave, the next enemies will appear.
In total, you have 10 minutes to complete the challenge. There is a chance that the event will be affected:
- Star Wandering: The drop locations change position.
- Monstrosity: More strong enemies will appear.
- Energetic Misery: higher risk of losing all collected energy if you are hit by enemies during the delivery.
Once you gather enough energy, you have successfully completed the event.
These rewards are available: If you successfully complete the event, you can collect your reward for 40 pieces of original resin. Your rewards will be

Genshin Impact: Fresh Produce Find and Craft
