At the end of Act 4 of the “Chalk and Dragons” event in Genshin Impact, you will encounter the resurrected Flux Tree. To obtain the last achievement and reward, you need to defeat it in under 300 seconds. We will tell you how to complete the challenge “Frosty Wonder”.
This is the achievement: You can complete the “Frosty Wonder” challenge in Act 4 of the “Chalk and Dragons” event. You simply need to defeat the boss “resurrected Flux Tree” in under 300 seconds.
These are the rewards: You are rewarded directly with 2 completed tasks. On one hand, the reward for completing the event, and on the other hand, you complete a Seasonal Challenge in the Experience Pass. You will be rewarded with:
- 30 Primogems
- 20,000 Mora
- 2250 EXP for the Experience Pass
That’s why you should hurry: While you can exchange EXP for the Experience Pass until January 12 at 23:59, the Primogems and Mora are only available until January 4 at 23:59 as part of the “Chalk and Dragons” event.
This is how the boss fight goes
The boss is divided into three phases, unlike regular Flux Trees or Flux Fire Trees.
This is how the fight starts – Phase 1: At the start of the fight, you need to destroy the protective shield by using deep red Quartz to break the 3 ice blocks. The deep red Quartz is dropped by Slimes when you defeat them.
This is how it continues – Phase 2: Once the shield is gone, the fight continues normally at first. Hit especially with fire and electric skills at the weak spots on the abdomen and head to effectively reduce the hit points.
The Flux Tree will occasionally unleash a devastating snowstorm that will definitely hit you. Look for the small ice blocks “Seeds of Winter” that appear nearby and destroy them with 1-2 hits. This creates a shield that protects you from the storm.
This is the final phase: In the final phase, a ring of ice forms around the Flux Tree on the ground, which continuously deals damage. A blizzard will then rain ice chunks down on you.
The phases then repeat until the resurrected Flux Tree is defeated. The time limit is 10 minutes and you can tackle the challenge alone or in multiplayer.

During a multiplayer match, the Flux Tree poses no problem. With fire or electric characters, you can easily break through the Cryo defense. Often the boss is down within a few minutes.
This is what your team should look like: However, if you attempt it solo, you need to have the right team ready. Recommended characters include:
- Diluc – Fire Main DPS
- Rayzor – Electro Main DPS
- Klee – Fire Main DPS
As support, the following are suitable:
- Fischl – Electro Support
- Albedo – Geo Support
- Bennett – Fire Support
Due to their abilities that increase the group’s damage, these supporters are particularly well-suited. If you use a fire Main DPS, definitely take another fire support to get the +25% damage bonus.
As healers, the following are suitable:
- Qiqi – Cryo Healer
- Jean – Anemo Healer
- Barbara – Hydro Healer
Barbara as a free option also does her job, but you need to make sure that you don’t freeze yourself due to the “Wet” status from her healing.
Use the deep red Quartz as much as possible during the fight to deal as much damage regularly as possible. If your damage is still not high enough, use buff food like the “Deliciously Stuffed Jade Pouch,” which drastically increases the damage of the entire group.
Another tip in solo mode is to equip the “Sword of Corruption,” which you receive as a reward during the event and can upgrade. With the sword, you deal significantly more damage to creatures in Dragonspine and increase the effect of the deep red Quartz.
