Forza Horizon 6 has launched in Advanced Access, and 140,000 gamers simply couldn’t wait to hit the road.
Who gets to drive? Forza Horizon 6 sells in its most expensive edition for about 120 euros the possibility to start as early as May 15, 2026, four days before everyone else. Over 140,000 players (as of 2:00 PM, May 15, 2026, see SteamDB) have already done so and are now sharing their first impressions on Steam after the initial hours.

How is Forza Horizon 6 received? With the Advanced Access on Steam, the first players could already share their experiences in the reviews. The title has turned out to be weaker than many probably hoped.
Forza Horizon 6 currently holds only 65% positive ratings on Steam with over 2,000 initial impressions. Many of the negative reviews come from users who are struggling with technical issues.
While some users can’t even get the title to start, others are unable to connect their expensive racing wheels. The new Steam feature also shows that the technical problems are affecting users of high-end gaming PCs.
While the developers are busy with repairs, there is still a second issue troubling the fans.
What else annoys the fans? For 120 euros, fans receive various benefits in addition to earlier access to Forza Horizon 6. However, one thing is not included: the “Treasure Map” DLC.
This essentially is an interactive map that reveals all treasures and collectible objects of the game in-game. Normally, such tools are known from community websites, but the developers have turned the feature into a DLC.
To have all treasures displayed in-game at the push of a button, fans have to pay an additional 2.99 euros on top of the 120 euros – for a tool that community members usually offer for free.
Accordingly, the ratings on Steam are also quite negative. The DLC currently holds only 21% positive ratings and is labeled as “mostly negative.” Fans strongly complain in the reviews that the developers are selling a free feature, even to those who have already purchased the most expensive edition.
Forza Horizon 6 is one of the most anticipated games on Steam. That 140,000 people still choose to spend so much money on the title is remarkable. How good the title really is, is revealed by MeinMMO editor Dariusz Müller: Forza Horizon 6 Review: The best moments I had were when I left the races behind and played it like GTA
