The servers of Fortnite will be down today, Thursday, July 30, 2026, for a patch. We are live for you and providing you with the most exciting info on leaks and server status.
Today, your patience is once again required, as Fortnite is receiving a fresh update to version 41.30 and bringing all kinds of new features to the game. However, the servers will be taken down, and you won’t be able to play for a while.
To let you know when you can get back to gaming and what new features await you, we are here with the live ticker collecting all the important information for you, so you stay up-to-date. As soon as there are patch notes, you’ll find them here as well.

The servers seem to be running stable, and no patch notes have surfaced yet. Therefore, we are ending the ticker here for now and wish you a lot of fun gaming!
If patch notes do emerge, we will, of course, update them here.

The most important technical changes at a glance:
- LLM-powered NPCs are live
- The Conversations feature is no longer experimental. You can now officially publish islands with AI-based NPCs. In line with this, there is now an analytics tab for player interactions in the Creator Portal.
- New Quests API via Verse
- You can now program your own quests, objectives, and rewards. These seamlessly integrate into the official Fortnite quest menu (UI) for players.
- Improved mobile & touch features
- A new (experimental) “PointerZoom” tool allows two-finger zoom on phones (also works with mouse wheel and gamepad).
- Tappable custom HUD widgets are now officially production-ready.
- The customizable touchscreen controls have been expanded with many vehicle actions (boosting, honking, braking, etc.) and menu options.
- New monetization (“Purchases on Islands”)
- There are now detailed documentation for integrating purchases directly on your islands, creating a new revenue stream alongside the usual payouts.
- New content & assets
- The “Shaken Sanctuary” theme arrives with new prefab objects (secret facility, greenhouse) and five associated build and object galleries.
- Options for the virtual cursor
- Controller players can now adjust the speed, opacity, and strength of haptic feedback for their virtual pointer in the settings.
- Important bug fixes
- Diverse community reports have been fixed, including crashes due to duplicating the timer device, stuck “E” keys on the screen, and a bug where joining players had only 1 HP and a pickaxe.

Good morning! Today, the servers of Fortnite will be taken down for the update 41.30 at around 10 AM. According to leak from @FortniteFNLK on x.com, this is a smaller update this time, so the downtime should not be too long.
Keep in mind that the matchmaking will be disabled about 30 minutes before the server shutdown. We will keep you entertained during the downtime with all leaks and new features. So stay with us while we wait for the servers to reopen!

- When will the servers go offline? On July 30, 2026, expected from 10 AM. Shortly before, usually about 30 minutes earlier, matchmaking will be turned off, and you won’t be able to log in.
- When can I play Fortnite again? According to official status page, the update should take about 1.5 hours. So you should be able to log back in around 11:30 AM. However, this is an estimate, and the actual duration may vary. With most updates, you can return to the game after about 2 – 3 hours. The servers should be back online by 12 or 1 PM at the latest.
- When will patch notes be available? Epic Games only sporadically posts patch notes for updates now and usually only after the downtime. As soon as they are available, you can read them with us.
What content will there be? The official Fortnite account has already hinted that the collaboration with the Simpsons is returning with this update. So you can play in Springfield again.
