In Fortnite: Battle Royale there will be a skin of Thanos from the Marvel universe. You can secure the skin for free in a tournament. We show you what you need to do.
What kind of skin is it? The Titan Thanos from the Marvel universe is making a return to Fortnite. Back in Season 4 – Chapter 1, you could become Thanos in a special mode and hunt players on the island. Now the character is coming back, but now you can equip him as a skin yourself.
Anyone who wants the skin has a chance to win it. However, you must participate in the Thanos Cup and be successful to get it before all other players.
Get the Thanos skin for free at the Thanos Cup
To earn the skin for free, you must participate in the Thanos Cup. We will show you how to join and what requirements must be met.
When does the Cup take place? The Thanos Cup, which is a duo tournament, will take place on Monday, June 21, 2021, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
You have 3 hours to play a total of 10 matches and collect as many points as possible. In the duo, you will compete against your opponents in “normal” rounds.
How to participate in the Thanos Cup
What do you need to do? Since this is a duo tournament, you first need a companion who will participate in the tournament with you. However, anyone who wants to participate in the Cup must meet these requirements:
- The Fortnite account must have reached at least level 30
- You must have set up two-factor authentication
Important: These requirements apply to both duo partners participating together in the tournament and must be met by both.
What are the rewards?
What can be won for free? Anyone who can prove themselves in the Cup will receive a skin for free again. As mentioned above, the Thanos set is up for grabs in this Cup. The items included in the set are:
- The outfit “Thanos”
- The back accessory “Infinity Gauntlet”
Only players who place in the top 3,375 will receive the skin set for free and ahead of all others.
Additionally, all players who score at least 8 points in the tournament will receive the spray design “Thanos sees all”.
Can you also get the skin outside of the tournament? If you do not place in the top 3,375 players, you still have a chance at Thanos. The skin will be available in the item shop on Sunday, June 27 at 2:00 AM. However, the skin will only be available through the item shop then – players who want the skin will have to pay for it.
