Login issues are occurring on Fortnite (PC, PS4, Xbox One, iOS) on Tuesday. Many users are receiving the message “Login failed” when using the Epic Games Launcher, and the login does not work, particularly a problem on PlayStation 4. There is actually no server maintenance planned; this is an outage for Fortnite.
Since around 1:30 PM on Tuesday, reports have been increasing that there are issues with Fortnite. Players receive the message “Login failed” when trying to log in.
Fortnite has already responded. Around 1:45 PM, the message came that there are difficulties with the servers.
Epic, the operators of Fortnite, have already been informed about the problem and are investigating the difficulties. The company shares this via Twitter. They are surprisingly quick to respond to issues in the game – this also includes outages.
Epic has reacted very quickly to this problem in the past
There may be another overflow, as Fortnite has risen to unprecedented popularity in recent weeks. However, the timing is unusual – such problems have typically occurred more towards the evening our time. Since Fortnite is now also playable on mobile, the number of players is likely to have increased even further.
Login issues also occurred last Saturday afternoon, but they only lasted for about half an hour. These problems also arose last night from Monday to Tuesday. Again, they were resolved within an hour.
While Fortnite initially suffered from such difficulties for hours, they have been able to resolve them relatively quickly in recent times.
We will update the article as soon as there is more information regarding the current difficulties with Fortnite.
