Fortnite has new “Star Wars” challenges. Among other things, you need to visit crash sites of TIE Fighters and set up your banner. Here you can see how it works.
Why does everyone have lightsabers here? The big Star Wars event is currently running in Fortnite. The kickoff was a live event, which brought various content from the film along with a scene from the new movie.
You can now buy Star Wars cosmetics, but the event also makes its presence felt in-game with lightsabers and blasters. Additionally, there are several Star Wars challenges that you need to solve. Among other things, you have to visit crashed TIE Fighters!
All TIE Fighter Crash Sites
So you find the crash sites: The TIE Fighter crash sites are already clearly visible when you jump out of the Battle Bus. Thick plumes of smoke rise from the crashed starfighters into the air – so just keep your eyes open as you fly towards the island. And don’t let yourself be distracted by the smoke from Steamy Stacks.
Because right near the power plant you will find one of the crash sites. The others are located at Slurpy Swamp, Salty Springs, Holly Hedges, and around Retail Row. You can see the locations here on the map:
How to complete the Banner Challenge: The Banner Challenge is divided into three steps. In the first, you need to mark a crash site with your banner, in the second 2 sites, and in the third, it’s 3.
To do this, you basically just need to go to the crash sites. But: Stormtroopers of the First Order are already waiting there for players who want to raise their banner. Therefore, you should not land unarmed there because the troops can indeed inflict damage – assuming they hit you. And that is known to be a problem with stormtroopers. You can actually secure their blaster afterwards, by the way.
Nevertheless, you should be careful, as other players also want to secure the spots. So be prepared for resistance.
How to set up your banner: Once you have defeated all the stormtroopers, you just need to swap out the standing banner. You do this simply by pressing the square button. You then repeat this step at various crash sites to complete the challenge.
Star Wars: Challenges and Rewards
These are the Star Wars challenges: In addition to the TIE Fighters, there are other tasks you need to solve. They all revolve around the Star Wars universe: Among other things, you must deal damage with lightsabers and defeat stormtroopers. You can find all the challenges here:
These are the rewards: In total, you can secure three rewards for the Star Wars challenges. Depending on how many stages you complete, you receive these rewards:
- Level 1: A new Star Wars banner
- Level 2: First Order back accessory
- Level 3: Jedi training emote
