This outfit was leaked by data miners. In fact, this wouldn’t be particularly special. Skins are found in updates by data miners and then released.
What makes the Bao Bros so special? The special thing about this skin is that it was found in the data almost a year ago. Epic Games never brought this outfit to the shop.
There were continuous speculations about when the skin would finally arrive. Players thought it would be finally available on August 22, 2019, as that would have been National Bao Day.
Players had to wait a long time
This skin was highly anticipated. Usually, when skins are leaked after updates, they appear in the following days or weeks. Players then choose their favorites and eagerly await them.
So those who were looking forward to the Bao Bros after the leak were disappointed. Data miner Lucas7yoshi had been following the story of the Bao Bros since the beginning.
He regularly mentioned the skin on Twitter, making him the spokesperson for the Bao Bros. Before the update for the item shop, he asked what players wanted to see in the shop:

His wish was soon fulfilled. The wait is now over, and the Bao Bros are finally available in the item shop.
