The former big Twitch streamer Paul “Ice Poseidon” Denino is said to have lured his fans into a crypto scam. He allegedly tricked them out of over €450,000 for a “long-term crypto plan.” Now all information has been made public, but he still refuses to return the money.
This led to the current situation
- Ice Poseidon was once one of the biggest streamers on Twitch and was even recruited for the platform Mixer. He is known for many escapades and became famous through IRL streams and his stalkers, whom he made friends with.
- Twitch banned Ice Poseidon due to a bomb prank on a plane. He was not allowed to stream himself, nor appear in another Twitch stream.
- Until a few months ago, he was active on YouTube. Now the former streamer finances himself differently and calls himself a crypto trader.
- Amidst the crypto hype, the 27-year-old from Florida invited his fans to a Telegram group, promising them the dream of big money – which at least came true for him.
IcePoseidon rips off fans: with cheap Doge Coin copy
What happened? The YouTuber Coffeezilla uploaded a new video on his channel. In it, he portrays Ice Poseidon as a criminal who is said to have exploited his fans for big money. These are serious accusations that Coffeezilla substantiates and even discusses with the former streamer Ice Poseidon.
Around €450,000 is said to have been taken by Ice from his fans in just under 2 weeks. Thanks to the crypto hype, it was relatively easy in recent months to convince people of what seemed to be the next big thing. After all, Shib and Doge Coin have also risen by several tens of thousands of percent.
Of course, many think they could get rich with one of the countless new dog currencies. Ice Poseidon apparently capitalized on this thought. Although his currency is called “CxCoin,” its entire design is based on the cute red-faced dog (via cxcoin.net).
This is how he got caught: In a talk with the podcast channel WoodysGamertag, which includes the former YouTuber FPS-Russia, Ice Poseidon mentioned that he realized the following (via youtube.com). Hoping for others to invest in cryptocurrencies is a game for losers; only those who can convince others to buy theirs win. He proclaimed he would create a currency, wait until enough people had invested, and then flee with the money.
Ice Poseidon later claims that it was just a joke. However, he seems to ignore the fact that he made his announcement a reality. This was about six months ago. YouTuber Coffeezilla confronted the former streamer about his actions in a call.
In this call, Coffeezilla demanded that the streamer return the money. However, Ice Poseidon has no intention of doing so and responds:
Wait, I need to see where I’m at right now – I’m not going to do that.

The former streamer shows no remorse at all. In the call, it quickly becomes clear that he does not see himself as the villain. He shifts some of the blame onto the currency buyers. Ice Poseidon claims that the users are to blame for trusting him.
This is how Ice Poseidon ultimately reacts
After the call with Coffeezilla, the YouTuber receives a message: Ice Poseidon claims he would refund the buyers of his currency at least around €150,000. To date, however, the streamer has only refunded about €40,000 – not nearly as much as he keeps for himself (via twitter.com).
What’s next? Coffeezilla has encouraged all affected by the scam to file a complaint with the “Internet Crime Complaint Center” of the FBI. Even though this has resulted in little real consequence in previous influencer scams like the “SaveTheKids” scam of the FaZe Clan, it should address the volume of complaints.
