Final Fantasy XIV is celebrating its fifth anniversary with the “Festival of Rebirth” event. Players will be transported many years into the past to fight against hordes of monsters. But no one knows exactly how to trigger the event.
What is the event about? The story of FFXIV began 8 years ago with a catastrophe. The game went online and received devastating reviews due to bugs and poor gameplay. But the developers did not give up.

Within 2 years, Final Fantasy XIV was rebooted and is now considered one of the most successful theme park MMORPGs on the market.
The reboot has been incorporated into the game’s story: The developers celebrated the downfall in FFXIV with a great final battle and a stunning cinematic:
During this event, the three main cities of the game were overrun by monsters and had to be fought off by players. These events are now repeating in the “Festival of Rebirth” event in the form of special FATEs.
Where is the starting NPC?
Starting NPCs are nowhere to be found: However, the Final Fantasy XIV players currently do not quite know where and when the special FATE for the event takes place.
In order to participate in the battle in the main cities, you must be teleported to a special instance by the NPC Commemorative Battle Recruiter.

However, there is no trace of these NPCs on most servers.
They often appear on one server and disappear again after a few hours. The community is speculating whether it is possible to force a spawn or if the recruiters simply appear randomly on different servers. However, accurate information on this is still lacking.
Where do the NPCs appear? If the NPC actually appears on a server, FFXIV players can find it near the festival committee member in the three main cities. Players will then be teleported to an alternative version of the respective city and can participate in several special FATEs and defend the city against monsters.

As a reward, there are 20 anniversary tokens for each successful FATE, which can be exchanged with the festival committee member for various event items.
