Today starts the FUT 20 season: EA Sports has officially announced on the Web App page that the Web App for FIFA 20 goes live today, on September 18, 2019. You can start the FUT 20 season today, build your starter Ultimate Team, and earn daily rewards.
Release time of the Web App: EA Sports does not reveal exactly what time the Web App will be available in Germany. The app launches simultaneously worldwide, and thus they want to mitigate the huge rush on the servers a bit.

Update 19:47: A lot of players are in the app. Some are reporting on Reddit that they are having login issues. Furthermore, some are complaining that no FUT Club is linked to their account. This is likely due to the early access requirements which you will find below.

Requirements to start the EA Sports Web App today
These are the requirements for early access on 18.9.: Not all interested FUT 20 players are allowed to start the season today. Today is merely the early access to the Web App. Here are the requirements for you to start on 18.9.:
- You must have created a FUT Club in FIFA 19 before August 1, 2019.
- This FUT 19 Club must be valid until the launch of the FUT 19 Web App. If you deleted it, you will not start FUT 20 today.
- Additionally, your account must have a “good reputation”. If you have ever been banned or otherwise received negative attention, you may not receive early access.
When is the start without early access? If you are not a FUT 19 veteran, you will only get access to the Web App after you log in for the first time in FIFA 20, create your club in FUT 20, and answer a security question there.
Then you will have to wait until the release of FIFA 20 on September 27 or until the start of the early access offerings.
Download and Login – What about the Companion App?
Is a download required for the Web App? No, you do not need to download or install anything. The Web App is a desktop application that runs without download on PCs and mobile devices.
How does the login work? We expect there will be login difficulties today at the launch of the Web App, as the servers will be overwhelmed. You will log in with the same credentials and the same security question as in the FUT 19 app.
What about the Companion App? This is the FUT 20 app for iOS and Android devices. This requires a download and should become available tomorrow, on September 19.

The contents of the Web App – Trading in Ultimate Team
These FUT app features are likely back: You can
- manage your FUT teams and club items,
- solve Squad Building Challenges (SBCs),
- visit the transfer market and buy and sell players and items – in other words, trading,
- view the TOTW (Team of the Week),
- inspect all cards, rankings, and other stats,
- purchase sets in the FUT Store (with coins or FIFA points),
- redeem weekly rewards from Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions,
- share your teams with others via unique URLs,
- and complete objectives.
New confirmed features for the FUT 20 app are:
- you can create custom tactics for the active FUT team.
- Moreover, new club customizations introduced in FUT 20 can be made.
- You can track your progress on new season objectives. Some tasks can also be checked off directly through the app.
- You can apply an “SBC protection” to players. This prevents you from accidentally using one of your important players in an SBC.
These are daily rewards: If you return as a FUT veteran, you can look forward to daily gifts if you log into the Web App daily until October. These are usually gift sets and small coin rewards.
