In FIFA 17, the Futhead database is pulling some April Fools’ jokes. Numerous cards suddenly look different than usual.
Anyone who wants to assemble a team on the Futhead site today, on April 1st, will be in for a surprise: Because heaps of cards have a completely new appearance. Emenike and Lukaku have suddenly become tanks, David Luiz is Tingeltangel-Bob, and Dortmund’s Sokratis has become Socrates.
The organizers have obviously allowed themselves some April Fools’ jokes and tinkered with the card designs. Similarities or known traits of the players are exaggerated. For example, Balotelli consists only of a head and arms, displayed in his famous pose, Giroud proudly shows off his upper body, and Podolski appears in a jester costume.
Some players have also been replaced by their brothers, like Boateng, Hazard, or Kroos. Here we embed some examples:
