Since the release of Update 8, players of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) have reported crashes. Bethesda has now released a patch but has admitted that it cannot fix all crashes.
What is the problem? Since the release of Update 28, which came with the DLC Markarth, some players of the MMORPG ESO have reported sudden crashes during Trials and Dungeons. The game simply closes and returns players to the desktop. This happens in both the PC version and on PS4 and Xbox One.

How did Zenimax Online respond? A patch has been released that was supposed to address this issue among others. The patch notes state:
- One possible cause of crashes has been fixed, which occurred primarily in Trials and other situations with many effects.
- A rare cause of crashes has been fixed, which could occur when many complex particle effects were created and destroyed simultaneously.
What is the current situation? Despite the patch, there are still reports that crashes continue to occur in Dungeons and Trials. The problem does not seem to be fully resolved yet.
What have the developers said now? A statement regarding the situation with the crashes was released on Twitter.
The team is aware that crashes may still occur. They are working hard to find the causes and resolve the issue.
What are the implications of this? A new patch for PC is planned for December 7 to fix these crashes. The console version of ESO will receive this fix on December 9.
The event “Celebrations of the Fearless” is not affected by this. It is still scheduled to start on December 3 at 4 PM.
