In Elden Ring Nightreign there are 8 different Nightlords that you must defeat, and each of them has a specific element against which they are weak. We will show you all the weaknesses of the bosses in our overview.
Why should I know the weaknesses? Every boss has an element against which they are weak. So, if you use this element against the respective boss, your opponent will be knocked back and weakened after enough hits.
They will then receive a debuff, deal less damage, and take more damage to their health bar. It is practical to play with the selected element to make your fights as easy as possible.
However, since the enemy types vary, the weaknesses differ, and in addition to elements, there are also damage types that can cause more or less damage. Therefore, you can find all this information about the respective Nightlords in our list.
Weaknesses of all Nightlords in Overview
In our list, you will find not only the actual element but also attack types that are also useful in combat against the respective boss. So let’s get to our list:
| Boss Name | Element for Debuff | Best Attack Type | Least Resistance |
| Gladius | Holy | Thrust | Sleep, Bleeding, Rot |
| Adel | Poison | – | Poison, Rot, Frost, Sleep |
| Gnoster | Fire (For both enemies) | Thrust and Slash for the Moth ———————– Blunt for the Fat Beetle | Rot, Frost, Sleep |
| Maris | Lightning | Slash | Rot, Frost |
| Libra | Madness | Slash | Poison, Rot, Madness |
| Fulghor | Lightning | – | Poison, Rot, Bleeding, Frost, Sleep |
| Caligor | Fire | Blunt | Poison, Rot, Bleeding |
| Heolstor | Holy (For both phases) | Thrust and Slash for the first phase ———————– Thrust and Hit for the second phase | Rot, Sleep |
What weaknesses do the smaller bosses have? That depends on which one you want to fight. Often, just a glance at their appearance is enough to guess what they are allergic to. But remember this: if you have difficulty finding out the weaknesses:
- Enemies with scales and thick armor
- Lightning or Fire
- Thrust
- Undead and humanoid beings
- Fire, Poison, or Holy
- Slash or Blunt
- Insects
- Fire, Poison
- Thrust or Slash
- Golems and stone beings
- Holy or Magic
- Blunt
It is important to know that you should never use the element against your boss that it uses against you. Usually, this one has a high resistance to it – with the exception of Libra.
Creatures with tissue or flesh on their bones are primarily vulnerable to bleeding, frost, or poison as well as rot. Undead hate blunt force, as they are often thrown off balance, and for them, frost or holy also counts as a weakness element.
Dragons hate the damage from piercing weapons due to their scales, but they have different weaknesses in terms of elements depending on their type. You need to look at what they deal – but often fire or lightning proves effective.
