The Team of the Season in EA FC 25 starts tonight at 7:00 PM in Ultimate Team. New details from an announcement for the TOTS indicate the first players and their strong upgrades.
What is the TOTS? The Team of the Season honors the best players of the professional leagues for the 2024/25 season.
According to the official schedule for the TOTS, the best players from 3 different leagues will be revealed tonight (April 25, 2025):
- Ligue 1 TOTS (1st French Men’s League)
- Arkema Premier League TOTS (1st French Women’s League)
- Eredivisie TOTS (1st Dutch Men’s League)
There was no voting for the 3 mentioned TOTS, unlike the Premier League TOTS voting or Bundesliga TOTS voting. This means that no one knows for sure which professionals will appear in the Ligue 1 TOTS, let alone what upgrades they will receive.
However, EA has provided the community with a first, small glimpse of the players and improvements:
If you log into Ultimate Team, you will first be presented with the news. The first news is titled Team of the Season. Below you will see various card designs that are likely to play a role during the TOTS.
What details are available? Particularly the 3 larger cards at the top stand out because they include the following details unlike the other cards:
- Rating
- Position
- PlayStyle+
- individual stats
- weak foot and skill move abilities
- Nation, League, and Club
Which players match the details will be revealed after the video.
Which 3 TOTS could the announcement screen show?
It is assumed that the 3 cards each show a player from the respective TOTS from Ligue 1, Arkema Premier League, and Eredivisie.
The details point quite clearly to the matching players. Given the high ratings, these could also be the 3 best professionals from their respective TOTS. However, this is not confirmed.
1. TOTS: Lindsey Heaps (97) – CAM from Olympique Lyon
- These other values are shown by the announcement screen (left card, see image above):
- PlayStyle+: In the air, through ball, decisive pass, curled shot
- Stats: Passing 97, Dribbling 95
- Abilities: 5★ skill moves, 4★ weak foot
What speaks for a TOTS card from Heaps: From the arrangement of the announcement screen, the first card far left could be the American Lindsey Heaps, who previously received a strong card as an honorable mention for the TOTY. (at that time still under the name Horan).
Heaps had a strong season and has a very strong average rating of 8.16 out of 10 points according to the football portal Sofascore, making her the second-best player in her league. A TOTS card is very likely especially since the announcement screen.
2. TOTS: Ousmane Dembélé (97) – ST from Paris Saint-Germain

- Stats: Pace 99, Dribbling 97
- Abilities: 5★ skill moves, 5★ weak foot
What speaks for a TOTS card from Dembélé: In the middle could be the best and simultaneously most expensive card from the first TOTS week. The Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé has been nearly unstoppable this season with his team. The super sprinter really thrived in his new role as a second striker and according to Sofascore is among the 3 best players in Ligue 1 for the season 24/25.
In 27 games he scored 21 goals, which rightly gives him a place in the Ligue 1 TOTS and additionally the new PlayStyle+ for the OP low driven shot in FC 25.
3. TOTS: Sem Steijn (96) – CAM from FC Twente

- PlayStyle+: Unrelenting, technique, decisive pass, power shot
- Stats: Shot 94, Dribbling 96
- Abilities: 5★ skill moves, 4★ weak foot
The third candidate far right could well be Sem Steijn. The Dutchman has already received 2 TOTW cards in FC 25, which could be an initial sign of a very good season. Additionally, the midfielder is according to Sofascore among the top 5 best players in the Eredivisie for the 2024/25 season.
FC Twente had a strong championship round thanks in part to Steijn’s 23 goals and 5 assists in 28 games. As a reward, we will likely see the goal-scoring playmaker with a strong card in the TOTS.
The well-known insiders Futsheriff or DonkTrading also assume on their X accounts that these 3 cards will land in the respective TOTS.
