Currently, on EA Sports FC 25, the servers are down as of September 27, 2024 – right on time for the release and the start of the first event. We will tell you what we already know about the server outage.
Update, 09/27/24 at 21:36: By now, the situation seems to have calmed down and the servers seem to be mostly accessible again. However, there has not been any further update from EA.
Update, 09/27/24 at 20:44: EA Sports has since spoken via X and confirmed that there are problems with the servers on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The team is actively looking for a solution.
When the servers might come back online, the developer studio did not reveal. Here you can see the tweet:
No joining Ultimate Team possible: If you try to log into Ultimate Team, you will be greeted with the following message: “A connection to Ultimate Team is currently not possible. You are returning to the main menu.” Other players receive the message: “Unable to connect.”
And shortly thereafter, you will be thrown back to the main menu. So, playing online matches in Ultimate Team is not possible at the moment. You also cannot manage your team, complete SBCs, or open packs.
Server down right at the start of the RTTK event: The timing of the server outage is extremely unfortunate, as EA FC 25 has just officially launched today and the first event started at 7:00 PM with the RTTK event (Road to the Knockouts).
EA FC 25 – How long will the server problems last?
When will the servers be back? Unfortunately, we cannot say. EA Sports has spoken up, but has not yet given a timeframe for when the problem might be resolved.
But expect that the servers may be down for a while, as there should currently be a large influx due to the release.
