What kind of update is this? Title Update 10, named “Return of the Legends,” was released on March 11 in Ultimate Team. The update, which is around 1.2 GB on the PlayStation 5, is now available for download.
In line with the title, EA Sports announced in the official Pitch Notes that one of football’s greatest legends will soon make a comeback.
How is Franz Beckenbauer returning? With the German legend Franz Beckenbauer, an Icon is returning that veteran Xbox players will likely be familiar with. From FIFA 15 to FIFA 17, you could already play this luminary of German football.
On March 21, 2025, Beckenbauer’s Base Icon will celebrate its comeback in Ultimate Team as part of the “UEFA Dreamchasers” campaign. He will receive his first promo card on April 4, 2025, as part of the new event “FUT Immortals.”
Which 3 Heroes are returning? With Seydou Doumbia, Gervinho, and Víctor Ibarbo, 3 fan favorites are returning to Ultimate Team. All 3 heroes from past FIFA seasons will be released on March 14, 2025, when FUT Birthday Team 2 drops in double form:

New Shot and Other Changes from Title Update 10
What is this new shot? The new shot is introduced through a new PlayStyle. The “Flat Full-Volley Shot” is triggered by a short press of the shoot button. If your player possesses the new PlayStyle, it has the following effects on your flat shots:
- shot accuracy is significantly increased
- the ball’s flight speed is moderately increased
- the execution speed is moderately increased
The PlayStyle+ has the same effects, and like all golden PlayStyles, it is only more effective under those circumstances.

- CPU AI is more often aware of situations for long shots

- the pressing behavior of the AI has been improved
- better positioning of AI players for headers
- goalkeeper animations for acute-angle shots have been revised

- PlayStyle+ for professionals in the Global Transfer Network are now displayed higher up
- issue with incorrect teams in the UEFA Women’s Champions League has been fixed
