What is the Eligella Cup? The Eligella Cup is a Twitch tournament that is now entering its fourth season. The organizer is one of the most well-known streamers in Germany, EliasN97 (real name: Elias Nerlich). In the competitions, a colorful field of participants consisting of football professionals, content creators, and/or e-sport players competes against each other.

Eligella Cup Overview: Mode, Dates, Participants, and Start
The Eligella Cup has been played the same way since its inception in FIFA 21. The first cup played this year suggests that there will be no changes to the tournament mode.
Mode
How does the Eligella Cup work? The Eligella Cup consists, like a World or European Championship in football, of a preliminary round and a knockout phase. Matches are played in the Ultimate Team mode.
Usually, one day before the start of the tournament, the participants are drawn into groups. You can then see the results of the draw on the official Instagram account.
The individual matches will be streamed on Twitch after the tournament starts. You have the option to watch individual matches or you can just watch the highlights of the respective matches, commented in a kind of conference, on the Twitch channel of EliasN97.
After the qualifiers in the group phase have been determined in the round-robin mode, the matches in the knockout phase follow a pre-established tournament tree. Depending on the duration of the tournament, the finalists and eventually the winner are determined in both leg matches.
The first Eligella Content Creator Cup in EA FC 24 was won by streamer and footballer Niklas “Willy” Wilson Sommer. You can watch the highlights in the video.
Next Monday, there’s another opportunity to secure the cup and the prize money of €1,500.
The next dates with start times
When is the next Eligella Cup? The cups traditionally take place on Monday evenings at prime time. The next two dates are already set.
- Next Monday, on the 9th of October, the next Eligella Cup will take place. In this one, content creators will compete against each other again. This time it will be played in co-op mode, i.e. 2v2.
- A week later, on Monday, the 16th of October, the elite will face off. On the 16th of October, EliasN97 invites the professionals to the tournament. The former German world champion Umut will also be present.

Unfortunately, nothing is yet known about the exact participant field of the respective tournaments. For the Creator Co-op Cup, participants from the German streaming scene are to be expected, while international guests will also participate in the professional tournament.

At what time does the tournament start? The tournament is always scheduled for 8:30 PM on Monday evening. But assume that the start will be more around 9:00 PM. Usually, there’s some chatting in the lobby beforehand.
Technical issues, such as connection difficulties or problems with the live streams, also occur and can occasionally lead to delays.
If you want to watch the whole Eligella Cup, you also need to have a lot of patience, as the tournament usually goes until after midnight.
